Privacy Policy

Last updated: February 9, 2026

1. Introduction

Filterbloom is a desktop application made by Streamfog inc. (“we”, “us”, “our”). This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

2. Data We Collect

Account information

If you sign in with Google, we receive your display name, email address, and profile photo from Google. This is stored in Firebase to identify your account. If you use the app without signing in, we create an anonymous user ID — no personal information is attached.

Session analytics

Each time you use the app, we record basic session data in Firebase Firestore: video metadata (duration, resolution, frame rate, format), which filters you searched for, the session outcome (export success/failure, or app closed), your operating system, and app version. This helps us understand how the app is used and fix issues.

Favorites

If you are signed in, lens favorites you save are stored in your Firebase user profile.

3. Video Processing

Your video files are processed entirely on your device. We never upload your videos to our servers. During filter processing, individual video frames are sent to Snap’s Camera Kit servers to apply the selected AR lens effect — this is handled by Snap’s SDK and is subject to Snap’s Privacy Policy. Exported videos are saved to your local Documents folder.

4. Website Analytics

Our website (filterbloom.com) uses Google Analytics to measure page visits and download clicks. This may set cookies in your browser. You can opt out by using a browser extension or disabling cookies.

5. Auto-Updates

The app periodically checks for updates. This sends your current app version and platform to our update server. No personal data is included in these requests.

6. What We Do Not Collect

We do not collect crash reports, IP addresses, location data, or contacts. We do not use third-party ad networks or tracking pixels in the desktop app.

7. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services, each governed by their own policies:

8. Data Retention & Deletion

Session analytics are retained indefinitely to improve the app. If you want your account and associated data deleted, contact us at the email below and we will remove it within 30 days.

9. Children’s Privacy

Filterbloom is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, please contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
